COMIC BOOK ADVERTISING DURING WWII

I thought it might be interesting to look at comic book ads from the WWII era. I have some advertisements from a comic book, with a demographic of pre-teen to 20 year year old females, & probably from a high family income level (in my opinion.) The ads are interesting, they offer the opportunity to purchase dresses & undergarments, which isn't a typical item that would be sold from a comic book, ten years further into the future. It's impossible to figure out what life was like for these young ladies, who would be reading these ads. Just the same, it is an interesting snippet into their lives.

Here are two ads from a, September, 1944 comic book, "Miss America."
