TIME TO MAKE FUN OF 1975 WEIRD FURNITURE STYLES
You would think that a stodgy company, like Montgomery Wards, would have a hard time putting items in their catalog that were, shall I say, Hip, Rad, With It, Cat's Meow, Neaty Cool. The 1975 Wards catalog has a few interesting items that you might enjoy looking (aka laughing) at.

This is a white plastic shell chair, with a strawberry red cushion attached. At ear level, there are two built-in speakers. The Bell Bottom 1970s were definitely an unusual decade. You could tell things were changing, when a stodgy, old fuddy duddy company, like Montgomery Wards, would offer a strawberry red cushioned, plastic egg shell in their catalog. Their customers could sit in it & listen to Lawrence Welk.

Another plastic egg chair, with 3 cushion choices, "Orange Crush" a velvet-like material, "Jasmine Yellow" a wet look vinyl, and the best for last, Black fun fur. In addition, the chair swivels & rotates. You can be a kid while living in an adult body. The best of both worlds.

Just think about how many barrels of oil were drilled to produce these chairs. I love the Marigold color. I want it. I'm getting in my Time Machine & going back to get one. I'm taking orders, anybody else want one?
Shown below are the prices for the chairs. The "guy" rocker - recliner chair is $249.95 and the lady swivel - rocker chair is $149.95

The 70's style furniture was really weird but its kind of cool too. You may also call it a little funky.
