1977 PRE TEEN BOY'S POSTER CHOICES - NIPPLES - ROCKY BABOA - STARSKY & HUTCH --- WELL, DUH!!!
Shown below is a comic book ad from 1977, which has advertising posters for sale. The posters have photos of famous 1970's iconic TV & movie characters, The ad gives the pre-teen comic reader several choices of different posters to purchase. One of the choices is the best selling poster of all time. I'm talking about the infamous Farah Fawcett poster, where she is posing in her swimsuit, with the photo showing her nipples pressing firmly against the fabric of her bathing suit. The other choices are a sweaty Rocky Balboa & a poster of Starsky & Hutch.
Since most comic book readers were boys, take a wild guess which one they were going to spend their money on.

We all know that the Farrah poster is the male pre-teen's favorite, but this article isn't about that. I just used that as a come-on. Sneaky, isn't it?
The Starsky & Hutch poster reminded me how cool their Grand Torino was. I used to have a 1971 silver Firebird, which I paid good money to give it a customized paint job. No, I didn't paint it red. The original color was the same but I had a black stripe painted on the car. The stripe was the same as the stripe on the Starsky & Hutch car. It was a cool car. It made me feel cool.
As with most action adventure TV shows, the writing wasn't equal to Shakespeare. The main focus was squealing tires & racing car engines. The Grand Torino was the star of the show.
I saw the car that was in the show. It is located at the Volo Antique Auto Museum, located in Volo, Illinois
Below is a photo of the car

TV Toy Memories has a couple of Starsky & Hutch items to purchase, you can click on the link near the photo.
