AHHH!!! THE GOOD OL'E DAYS WHEN HEALTH INSURANCE COMPANIES DIDN'T OPENLY SCREW YOU OVER - LIKE ANY SELF-RESPECTING THIEF - THEY STABBED YOU IN THE BACK
At the bottom of this blog entry is a 1956 magazine ad, for a major insurance company. THAT COMPANY, I'M SURE, WOULD NEVER DO THE TERRIBLE THINGS THAT ARE DISCUSSED IN THIS BLOG ENTRY. I also believe in Santa Claus.
The 1956 magazine ad, from a major insurance company, talks about a kind and benevolent company. Kind of like your sweet old grandfather looking out for you, a company that has your back and is always there for you. As opposed to today's version of a health insurance company, using devious ways to screw the customer over.
READING THE MIND OF AN INSURANCE COMPANY EXECUTIVE: Hey, what is more important, the bottom line profit or helping some working-class slob eat up millions of our hard earned premiums? We can DENY COVERAGE, DENY COVERAGE, & DENY COVERAGE, soon they will be dead. Give a huge bonus to the low level company stooge who has the job to deny coverage, and we come out MILLIONS of dollars ahead, CA CHING!!!
What kind of SICK & PERVERTED MIND would chose to deny coverage to a person, because they CLAIM that the customer has a pre-existing condition?
I get a kick out of the MORONS who went to the health care reform rallies and town-hall meetings, the ones that falsely claimed it was a socialistic plot to take over the insurance companies. Mr RUSH Oxycontin Limbaugh tells them to leap and they say, "Yes, sir." "How high would you like for me to leap, sir?" When Mr Oxycontin uses a catch phrase - SOCIALISTIC MEDICINE, the lemmings jump into action. Obviously, socialistic medicine isn't the same thing as Socialism. The RUSH lemmings hear a word similar to Socialism and they believe we are on the same path as WWII Germany. My advice to them, grow a BRAIN!!!
People who are receiving Medicare were chanting and carrying placards against socialized medicine. How STUPID are they? Medicare is SOCIALIZED medicine. The people that came to the rallies & town hall meetings traveled on SOCIALIZED roads and they might have taken a drink of water from a water fountain, which gets it source of water from SOCIALIZED water pipes. The village police & fire departments are socialized. The meaning of the word has to do with everybody pitching in to pay for a needed service, even if one person needs it more than another person.
Imagine what life would be like without SOCIALIZED services.
Even if somebody doesn't drive, they depend on a good road system to get goods & services to them, at a fair price. Even if their house doesn't burn down, a publicly paid fire department helps save the property and lives of everyone. Remember the story of the Great Chicago Fire. The volunteer fire department was overwhelmed and a huge part of the city was consumed by fire. What would happen if there wasn't even a volunteer fire department? How long would it take for your neighbor's house fire to spread to your house?
The insurance industry has brought it on themselves. As I said before, how could somebody be so callous and unfeeling as to deny coverage to a gravely ill person, let alone the fact that it is illegal. The trouble is, the claimant will never have a day in court. The reason probably would be the DEATH of the claimant, brought on by the lack of medical services. Medical services which should have been paid for by the kind and benevolent insurance companies.
