HOW CHARLIE BROWN & SNOOPY WENT TO THE DARK SIDE

Snoopy & Charlie Brown used to be a sweet little dog, and a cute bald headed little boy. They made a few extra bucks on the side, by endorsing corporate products. Most little boys would have a paper route. Most little dogs would chew the paper, that the little boy would deliver. Snoopy & Charlie Brown were true entrepeneurs, one of their first corporate sponsors was Ford Motor Company. Charlie Brown, and the Peanuts gang members, can be seen in in this 1962 magazine ad, touting the benefits of a fine American product, the Ford Falcon. A product that was made by hard working workers and sold for a fair price.

During the 80's and 90's, Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and the rest of the Peanuts gang, decided to go to the DARK SIDE, .They hooked up with METROPOLITAN INSURANCE. They became multi, multi millionaires. They believed they were smarter than animated people and animated dogs with less money. Money changed Charlie Brown. Prior to hooking up with Metropolitan, Charlie had a terrible health problem, for a little boy. He was completely bald. For awhile the hair treatments were paid for, by his parents insurance company, but the dreaded day arrived. The insurance company claimed it was a pre-existing condition, they refused to pay for any additional hair treatments.

His parents knew that the lack of hair would turn into a psychological problem for their son. A small boy needs to have a good self image, it would be impossible for the boy to grow up with a normal mental outlook, since his head was completely bald. What were his parents going to do? When Charlie & the family dog signed up with Metropolitan, the world changed. Baldness didn't matter. By having a yearly salary of millions of dollars, he didn't care about being bald. Money solved his problems.

When he became rich, he could easily tap into his multi-million dollar annual METLIFE salary. He didn't have to worry about an insurance company claiming there was a pre-existing condition. He didn't have to worry about a maximum $1,000,000 payout, like I said, he made millions a year. He led the good life. He led the METLIFE.

Charlie Brown sat in his corporate offices, on the 100th floor of an animated skyscraper, he literally and figuratively looked down on the little people. He felt he was better than the people who didn't have an annual multi-million dollar salary. Since he had a huge salary, he could afford to pay for his own health problems. The problems with the insurance industry didn't matter to him. He didn't care if there were restrictions for the COMMON PEOPLE.

Charlie Brown believed the manure that came from the right wingnuts. Mr Oxycontin, who was the unofficial insurance company cheerleader, had a constant stream of Bulls**t. Charlie Brown couldn't understand why everybody couldn't pull themselves up by their bootstraps, by becoming a spokesman for a multi billion dollar insurance company. He felt that Snoopy and himself were far more intelligent than the other animated little boys & dogs, in their neighborhood. More money earned had to mean more intelligence. That is what the Republican talking heads imply. If Mr. Oxycontin says it, well, it has to be true. But it isn't true. Manure stinks.

Charlie forgot that we all rise together, or we all sink together, we are in this boat together. Snoopy was the main reason for Charlie Brown's transformation, Snoopy convinced him that he wasn't successful because of "WHAT HE KNEW." He was succesful because of "WHO HE KNEW." Snoopy told Charlie the story of "W" being constantly bailed out by his daddy's Saudi friends. The lightbulb over Charlie's head switched on. Little by little, Charlie started to SMELL the manure coming from Mr. Oxycontin and the right wingnuts. Charlie started to change his ways. Charlie has begun to move away from THE DARK SIDE. HOOORAY!!!
