OUTTAKES FROM SOME OF MY FAVORITE CLASSIC TV SHOWS
When I was growing up, F-Troop was one of my favorites. It took place during the 1860's, but they used pop culture references from the 1960's, which is when the show was produced.
The show took place inside and around Fort Courage, an outpost in Indian country. The fort was commanded by Captain Parmenter, an incompetent officer, who, unfortunately for his family, came from a long line of heroic soldiers. Sergeant O'Rourke & Corporal Agarn were con men & entrepreneurs, willing to conduct business with anybody, including the local Indian tribe. O'Rourke & Agarn were able to perform their business dealings right under Parmenter's nose.
In this video outtake, the cast members are being silly and are performing out of character.
We leave the Army, during the 1860's, and transport ourselves to the Navy, during the 1940's. McHale's Navy was also one of my favorite childhood TV programs.
The actors are purposedly saying, or doing something outrageous, to get the other actors to break up.
