IN MY HUMBLE OPINION, GENERAL MOTORS BLAMES ADVERTISING AGENCY FOR THEIR HORRIBLE DECLINE - COULDN'T POSSIBILY BE STUPID GM EXECUTIVES

The advertising agency that created such memorable advertising campaigns, such as, 'See the USA in Your Chevrolet' & 'Like a Rock,' has been fired. General Motors, which was the MOST POWERFUL auto manufacturer in the world, is now a 98 pound weakling. I know, figuratively speaking, the company will be pumping iron to rebuild their biceps & deltoids, not to mention their gluteus maximus . They will be a powerful company again, hopefully. They aren't powerful now, and they seem to be blaming somebody else for their problems.

Campbell-Ewald has had the Chevrolet account for over 90 years, which is unprecedented. Auto manufacturers, and other companies, will usually drop an advertising agency, far quicker, than George Steinbrenner would have the guts to change a NY Yankees manager. It is the old story, BLAME SOMEBODY ELSE, but don't blame the HIGH paid GM executives. Blame it on the advertising agency and also blame the auto worker's compensation package, for the company's problems. Whatever you do, don't blame the GM executives.

In my humble opinion, Campbell-Ewald has what it takes to promote the Chevrolet Division. I realize it is hard for the GM management to see that. You might ask, why is it the GM executives have a hard time seeing the forest for the trees? In my humble opinion, it is hard to see any forest when the heads of the GM executives are up their individual BUTTS.

The company that is replacing Campbell-Ewald is a French advertising agency. Oh yeah, the French have their finger on the pulse of the American car buying public. In case you don't realize it, I'm being sarcastic.

The 1950's campaign 'See the USA in Your Chevrolet,' has to be the BEST automobile advertising campaign ever created. A catchy song sung by a sweet & wonderful Dinah Shore, is a can't lose campaign. Every single week, Dinah drove home the idea that to be a patriotic American you needed to buy a Chevrolet, and see the USA  while driving it. Oh yeah, a FRENCH advertising agency is going to create something equal to that. AHHHH, NO!!!

For your enjoyment, I have uploaded a video of Dinah Shore doing a Chevy commercial while singing the infamous jingle. I hope you will enjoy it.
