MY SECOND FAVORITE SPECIES OF DOG, SELLING FRISKIES - WITH A CAN OF FRISKIES HANGING FROM HIS NECK
What a great ad this is. A Saint Bernard is such a sweet animal, the only dog that I love more is a Golden Retreiver / Labrador. I combine the two dogs as one, after all, they are cousins.
A Saint Bernard coming to the rescue, with a can of Friskies hanging from it's neck, is a great image. A very memorable image. The company should of continued that line of ads. I also love the stylish hat he is wearing. Very GQ.

Friskies / Carnation was the sponsor for the Annie Oakley TV show, which aired from 1953 until 1957. Below are two FRISKIES commercials, with the two main TV characters, Annie Oakley (Gail Davis) & her kid brother Tagg, played by Jimmy Hawkins.
THIS SECOND COMMERCIAL IS BETTER THAN THE FIRST. THE TV COMMERCIALS FROM THE 1950's WERE DEFINITELY LOW KEY.
