Rob and Laura and their friends are selling the American public a load of HORSE POO POO. They are telling the public that the sponsor's cancer sticks are FANTASTIC - and good for you too. Make you grow up big and strong. No, they don't claim that, I just added that statement in jest. 

I loved the Dick Van Dyke Show and I loved the actors that acted on the show. Just the same, what kind of person would promote a product that filled your lungs with carbon monoxide? Granted, most of the medical information has come out a long time after these early sixties TV commercials were made. Common sense among Carl Reiner, Danny Thomas & Sheldon Leonard (producers) and Dick Van Dyke, Morey Amsterdam & Mary Tyler Moore (actors) should have put a HARD BRAKE on doing commercials while in character.

The American media made comparisons between Rob and Laura Petrie & JFK and Jackie Kennedy. In other words, their comments and actions were very powerful to a lot of people. They were saying that putting a burning roll of paper and tobacco between your lips was a GOOD THING. AHHHHH NO, IT ISN'T. 

Watch America's favorite 1960's sitcom couple extolling the virtues of smoking. Laura even asks Rob which he liked more - Laura Petrie or the sponsor's brand of cigarettes. Rob gave a qualified answer. Laura was best for cooking & dancing. Surprisingly, Laura was also the best for KISSING. What wife wouldn't love a great compliment like that?

SALLY ROGERS (ROSE MARIE) DID A COUPLE OF COMMERCIALS. AT LEAST SHE NEVER SMOKED THE CARCINOGEN CREATOR. IN THIS NEXT VIDEO. SALLY ROGERS BUMS A CIG FROM ROB. THE VIDEO AFTER THAT, ROB AND SALLY HELP TO CORRUPT THE IMAGE OF SANTA CLAUS. YOU KNOW. THE GUY WHO GOES AROUND THE WORLD ON DECEMBER 24, AND BRINGS GIFTS TO CHILDREN.

AT LEAST, THEY NEVER HAD RITCHIE IN ANY OF THE ADS.
