JELLO PRODUCT THAT DOESN'T EXIST ANYMORE - ICE CREAM POWDER
In 1935, Jello published an ice cream recipe booklet. On the back of the booklet was an ad for one of their products. It was ironic that I found this booklet. A few days ago, I was thinking about making ice cream for the first time in my life. The ice cream brands that can be purchased in the grocery store lack any true ice cream taste. They taste more like ice milk. The reason for the poor quality: PENNY PINCHING ICE CREAM MANUFACTURERS. The different ice cream brands have very little fat content in any of their products. They have resorted to blending air into the ice cream batter to simulate a larger fat content. IT DOESN'T WORK.
Even tho Jello doesn't make ICE CREAM POWDER anymore, I might even make one of their recipes - GRAPE NUTS ICE CREAM. I might exchange Granola with Raisins for Grape Nuts cereal, who knows.
Below is the ad for JELL-O ice cream powder.

Below, I have posted the recipe for Grape Nuts ice cream. Oh, those wacky 1935 General Foods employees. They will try and combine General Foods products, no matter, if they go together, or not.
General Foods makes Gaines dog food, I'm surprised they didn't make a recipe for the family pooch.
