Liberace was an incredible entertainer. He was 1/4 of a step from being a WORLD CLASS pianist. He brought great music and a fantastic sense of humor to the polyester-clad Las Vegas tourists.

The bigots of this country like to focus on the possibility of Liberace being gay, even tho he did win a lawsuit against a newspaper that claimed that he was a homosexual. I'm really quite curious - why do the bigots (homophobes) focus so closely on other people's sexuality? Are they interested in the private lives of everybody - STRAIGHTS, OR, JUST GAYS? What are they missing from their lives that forces them to interfere with other people's lives? Why do they feel the need to poke their self-righteous noses into other people's lives? Do they feel they have the right to do something that God (according to St. Matthew) specifically does not want them to do - JUDGE OTHER PEOPLE? 

JUDGE NOT, THAT YE BE NOT JUDGED.

Most of the homophobes are ultra-conservative types, who like to pick and choose sections of the bible, and then proceed to misinterpret the meaning of that section, of the Word of God. Twist & turn the meanings and place modern-day meanings to phrases that didn't mean the same thing 2,000 years prior. Unfortunately, a lot of the BIGOTED HOMOPHOBES are religious leaders, who are supposedly educated. It is quite ironic that they are educated, the basic meaning of bigotry is STUPIDITY / IGNORANCE. It is also interesting to note: JESUS never had a harsh word toward anyone. Jesus loved everybody - GAYS & SELF-IMPOSED BIGOTED PROTECTORS OF HETEROSEXUALITY. 

When exactly did God give these self-imposed protectors of heterosexuality the right to sit in judgement? If I'm not mistaken, God is the only one who has that job. The trouble is, the bigoted homophobes are incapable of thinking logically. It is against their nature. They are sheep, who choose to BLINDLY follow another person's teachings. A logical person can see that homosexuality is not a matter of choice. Only a MORONIC RELIGIOUS BIGOT has a problem seeing that. 

Do you think God has a "special" place for all of the so-called love-your-fellow-man compassionate and understanding RELIGIOUS BIGOTS out there? 

For the time being, my ranting is done.

20 years ago, I visited Las Vegas. I'm not a big gambler, and I am cheap. I'm not willing to spend big bucks to see a Las Vegas show, especially when I'm sitting a million miles away from the stage. In other words, I came to Vegas to see the free and the cheap tourist attractions. One of the sites that I visited was the Liberace Museum. At the time that I visited the museum it was very popular attraction. Things change, and people get older. The fans of Liberace have died off, and the museum has fallen on hard times. Bad investments had decreased the endowment to $1 million, from the original $10 million. The George "W" Bush Memorial Great Recession also played a part in the demise of the attraction. The museum was located in a strip shopping center. The Liberace Foundation owned the shopping center. Most of the tenants were forced to go out of business because of the incredibly bad economy. The lack of money from the tenants, and the decrease of tourists visiting the museum created an insurmountable problem. Last month, the museum closed down

Liberace was a fantastic showman and entertainer who would do anything to please the audience . The props that he used were incredible. The day that I visited the Liberace museum, I had been videotaping the exteriors of different casino attractions prior to going to the museum. I naively brought my video camera into the museum. I was told that I couldn't video tape inside the museum because of security reasons. I started to take my camera out to the rental car. I was told that I didn't have to do that. That was a big mistake on their part. I'm the type of person to do something that is against the rules just to see if I can get away with it. I started the camera and walked around the museum, while holding the camera at knee level. To be as inconspicious as possible, I decided to hold the camera backwards. Nobody took notice of the camera's red blinking light being on. The end result of my stealth video recording was a herky-jerky picture. Just the same, I was able to get great images of the infamous show biz props.
