Advertising guys are so sneaky. They take a negative aspect of a product and make it sound positive (sounds like the GOP.) Wilma Flintstone is extolling the virtues of Welch's grape juice and mentions that it is rich in "levulose." Now, how many people are going to know what that word means? Most people are going to gloss over the statement and assume it is a beneficial part of the nutritious beverage. In reality, a parent would probably want to limit their children's intake of levulose, which is another word for sugar.

In reality, it wasn't the advertising copy writer who snuck that line into the commercial. The diabolical wife of an overweight husband was responsible for placing that line in the ad. Everybody knows that Wilma has been planning the extermination of Fred Flintstone, for quite some time. Little, by little, Wilma has been increasing Fred's weight by feeding him massive doses of LEVULOSE. Before Fred met the "evil" woman that he lives with, he was as swelte as an Olympic swimmer. Wilma made Fred into the fat slob that we are familiar with.

Fred's gargantuan belly belies the fact that he is only 24 years old. On Fred's 25th birthday, he inherits a 50 billion dollar fortune. Wilma uncovered this fact, which is unknown to Fred, while surfing the stone-age internet. Wilma has been plotting Fred's demise for four years and she is almost at the tipping point. Wilma has calculated that Fred can only pack on 5 more pounds before he keels over.

Please, Fred, stop eating your daily dose of LEVULOSE. We need you in our lives, to bring joy and humor to a sad and unhappy world. I have been begging Fred to divorce that evil temptress for years. Hopefully, when this blog post comes out Fred might figure it out.
