WEIRD & SUPER COOL CUSTOMIZED DAIRY TRUCK FROM THE EARLY 1930's
I found this photograph of a customized Luick Dairy truck, from the early 1930's. Luick Dairy was located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and was the franchise holder of the Sealtest label, in their area of the Midwest.
The Luick Dairy was obviously run by an innovative person. It is always a good idea to have a gimmick, so as to be able to keep the company name in the thoughts of the public, and Luick Dairy did just that. They spent a considerable amount of money to customize a Dodge truck, and transform it into a moving milk bottle.
I love it when business people think outside the box. Most business people are sheep, they just want to follow the leader, and carve out a tiny niche for their company. Innovation and promotion will win the game over the "sheep" of the business world, every single time.

This man was my great Uncle. In 1978, I called his wife, I told her who I was, and I had a nice talk with her. Then it got bad, it was the ANNIVERSARY of the death of Mr. Luick, almost to the exact hour of his death. The ad for the car was in Life magazine, in the 60'S. A full page ad, that's all I have.

My grandfather worked for Luick Dairy during the 30's and one of our prized photos taken outside his home in West Allis is of him behind the wheel of the bottle truck.
