For your entertainment, I have posted this fantastic mid 1960's TV commercial. This ad has a married couple talking about the nutritional benefits of Ken L Ration burger (a product of Quaker Oats.) The wife says that Ken L Ration is more nourishing than hamburger, and it is more convenient.  An additional benefit would be that it costs less than hamburger. 

Costing less than hamburger is important when you need to feed a pet LION. Up until the last 20 seconds of the one minute ad, the viewers of the commercial think the husband and his wife are talking about their pet dog.

I'm sure that a pet lion will eat a little bit more food than your typical toy poodle. Heathcliff is the couple's pet lion.  The ferocious Ken L Ration-eating lion thinks and acts like a dog, who enjoys eating out of a dog bowl. 

For more insight into the inner thoughts of the lion, we have contacted an animal psychologist. The QUACK
Doctor has given his opinion on the lion's psychological problems, and has come up with a surprising conclusion. He believes that the lion accidently ate the couple's toy poodle while the poodle was eating from the dog bowl. The accidental CONSUMPTION of a family member has created turmoil in the mind of the Ken L Ration-eating lion. The only way for the ferocious feline to mentally cope is to replace the EATEN family member by any means that it can.

IF ANYBODY CAN NAME THE ACTOR WHO PLAYS THE HUSBAND IN THIS COMMERCIAL, I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT. HE IS A FAMOUS CHARACTER ACTOR FROM DIFFERENT 1960's TV SHOWS. HIS NAME ESCAPES ME - IT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY.

I LOVE THAT MOD 1960's STYLE SHIRT THAT HE IS WEARING. 

UPDATE:

I WAS WATCHING AN OLD EPISODE OF THE CLASSIC TV SHOW - THE GEORGE BURNS AND GRACIE ALLEN SHOW, AND I FOUND THE ACTOR THAT WAS IN THIS COMMERCIAL. FRED CLARK PLAYED GEORGE BURN'S NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR, HARRY MORGAN. HE WAS ON THE CLASSIC TV PROGRAM FROM 1951 - 1953, FOR A GRAND TOTAL OF 56 EPISODES. EVEN THOUGH MR. CLARK WAS ONLY ON THE SHOW FOR A FEW YEARS, IN MY OPINION, HE WAS FAR BETTER THAN THE ACTOR  THAT REPLACED HIM.  

IT HAS BEEN AGES SINCE I SAW AN EPISODE OF THE GEORGE BURNS AND GRACIE ALLEN SHOW, BUT JUST THE SAME, I SHOULD HAVE REMEMBERED THAT FAMOUS CHARACTER ACTOR'S FACE. IN ADDITION TO PLAYING GEORGE BURN'S NEIGHBOR, HE ALSO PLAYED THE CRANKY Dr. CLYBORN, ON THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES. THAT WAS ANOTHER CLASSIC TV CHARACTER THAT I SHOULD HAVE REMEMBERED.

OLD AGE IS CATCHING UP WITH ME - FORGETFULLNESS IS THE SECOND SIGN.

THE FIRST SIGN OF OLD AGE IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS - PERIOD.
