HAVE YOU ALWAYS WANTED TO SEE THE INSIDE OF THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES TRUCK? WELL, YOU CAN, THANKS TO ME. EXPRESSIONS OF THANKS CAN BE SENT TO ME IN A PLAIN ENVELOPE

Come and listen to a story about a man named Jed
A poor mountaineer, barely kept his family fed,
Then one day he was shootin at some food,
And up through the ground came a bubblin' crude.

Oil that is, black gold, Texas tea.

Well the first thing you know ol' Jed's a millionaire,
Kinfolk said Jed move away from there
Said Californy is the place you ought to be
So they loaded up the TRUCK and moved to Beverly.

Hills, that is.
Swimmin pools, movie stars.

The Beverly Hillbillies!

THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES TRUCK IS AN ICONIC SYMBOL FOR 1960's TELEVISION. GEORGE BARRIS CREATED THE WONDERFUL INANIMATE STAR OF THE CLASSIC TV SHOW - THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES.

THE VOLO AUTO MUSEUM HAS THE TRUCK ON DISPLAY, AND I TOOK SEVERAL PICTURES. THE PHOTOS THAT I WAS INTERESTED IN WERE WHAT PEOPLE USUALLY DIDN'T SEE ON THEIR TV SCREENS.

I TOOK PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE INTERIOR, AND THE FRONT OF THE MILLIONAIRE'S JALOPY TRUCK. ACTUALLY, JED CLAMPETT DOES NOT OWN THE TRUCK. HIS COUSIN, PEARL BODINE IS THE RIGHTFUL OWNER OF THE TRUCK. I BET JED NEVER PAID ANY RENT MONEY FOR HIS TRANSPORTATION. MILLIONS OF DOLLARS FOR JED - NOT A PENNY FOR HIS COUSIN PEARL

WARNING TO JED CLAMPETT:

YOU BETTER GET SOME NEW TIRES. THE TIRE TREAD IS VERY LOW. BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA COPS LOVE ISSUING TICKETS. YOUR MILLIONS OF DOLLARS WILL SOON BE GONE. MILLIONS OF DOLLARS WILL INSTANTLY FLY INTO THE CITY COFFERS, JUST LIKE MAGIC.
